1: The number of non-English speaking strangers who pointed and giggled at Jon snuggling a pink monkey along the Artist’s Paint Pots trail.
2: The number of times we went swimming at Firehole.
6: The number of campfires we made and sat around.
9: The number of random, by the side of the road stops we made to see random, by the side of the road stuff.
152: The number of times this one had to have her face cleaned (I’m guessing here. That number might actually be low).
547: The number of times Jon said “Do you see a bear? Is that a bear? Hey, why aren’t you looking for bears?”
1: The number of bears Jon saw down by the river.
5: The number of cars he managed to flag down to see it while trying to flag US out of the car to see it.
0: The number of bears the rest of us saw down by the river.
953: Number of miles we put on our rental car.
We spent 5 days on our planned-unplanned vacation.
5 days, 6 campfires, 9 pit stops, and 953 miles later and I am still smiling at the memories.
I love it when the numbers just work.
