It’s cold.
So cold, in fact, that the trampoline hasn’t been jumped on in days. There are icicles growing out of the springs.
Last winter, it almost felt like Spring. On this day last year, we were still barefoot.
This year I had to promise to play UNO for the 32nd time today (I SO wish I was exaggerating…the girl is obsessed!) to get her to venture out for five minutes.
It needs to warm up soon. At least a little bit. My camera and the trampoline are lonely.

Brrrr…it makes me cold just to look at her (btw, she is sooo looking like your oldest daughter here….has that always been there or just now that she’s getting older?)
wow, your photography is so beautiful! I love that jump shot with the purple sky and the snow pic with pink blanket around your daughter! So so pretty!
My kids played on the tramp in the snow and ice in all their snow gear goofy kids. Next time maybe I will offer to play UNO LOL. Such great pictures!
Yep. I’m ready for summer.
I think it is possible that we will not get any more snow for the entire winter we have left because I went out and bought the kids new sleds yesterday. That is almost a guarantee, isn’t it?
I just adore the composition on these- beautifully done!
Ugh, Uno for the 32nd time? Yes, may you be blessed with above freezing temps, and soon!
Or move to the south. We’re in the high 40s, low 50s.
I am not a bog fan of the winter but I actually prefer the real proper icy cold and snow weather to the dull grey damp we constantly live in in the UK. It can be very depressing

We love Uno. When you don’t have a card to play do you: draw only one card or draw cards until you get one you can play?
Christmas 2011 the kids got Uno Roboto. Pretty fun!
chilly beautiful shots! Nicely done.
Oh, man! I feel your pain! Isn’t it crazy to compare what you were doing at the same time on different years? We used to compare what we were wearing when we got pumpkins at the pumpkin patch every year. Some years, it was shorts and t-shirts and other years it was full winter gear. I prefer the warmer temps! Pooh on winter cold!
I would have to agree, over last few years the weather has been changing. For those of us who love the outdoors it really has effect on your day to day. Happy New Years
I know how she feels, I hate the cold!
Beautiful, love the pink blanket shot, nice processing and textures.
